1. Eligibility

Chore Champ is designed for families.

Parents, guardians, and other adults who create a family account are responsible for managing child accounts associated with their family.

If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use Chore Champ with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

2. Description of the Service

Chore Champ helps families:

• Assign and manage chores
• Create family goals and challenges
• Track progress and achievements
• Reward completed tasks
• Monitor family participation
• Manage family accounts and settings

Features may change over time as we improve the Service.

3. Family Accounts

A parent or guardian is considered the owner and administrator of a family account.

The family administrator may:

• Create child profiles
• Assign chores and tasks
• Configure rewards
• Review task submissions
• Manage family settings
• Remove child accounts

Parents are responsible for supervising children's use of the Service.

4. Child Accounts

Child profiles may be created by a parent or guardian.

Child profiles are intended solely for participation within their family account and may have limited functionality.

Children may not:

• Create independent public accounts
• Share inappropriate content
• Attempt to access other users' accounts
• Use the Service for unlawful purposes

5. User Content

Users may submit content including:

• Family names
• Profile names
• Avatars
• Task descriptions
• Reward descriptions
• Task completion notes
• Optional task photos

You retain ownership of content you submit.

By submitting content, you grant Chore Champ a limited license to store, process, display, and transmit the content as necessary to operate the Service.

6. Task Photos

Some features may allow children to submit photos as proof of task completion.

Parents are responsible for reviewing submitted photos.

Users must not upload content that:

• Is unlawful
• Violates intellectual property rights
• Contains harmful or abusive material
• Contains inappropriate content involving children
• Violates applicable laws

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

7. Rewards and Allowances

Chore Champ may allow families to track:

• Stars
• Points
• Rewards
• Allowances
• Family goals

All rewards, allowances, and incentives are determined solely by parents or guardians.

Chore Champ is not responsible for:

• Delivery of rewards
• Payment of allowances
• Family disputes regarding rewards
• Accuracy of reward agreements between family members

8. Subscriptions

Certain features may require a paid subscription.

Subscription details, pricing, billing periods, and included features are presented before purchase.

Subscriptions may automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date.

Purchases made through Apple App Store or Google Play are governed by their respective billing systems.

9. Refunds

Refund requests for purchases made through Apple App Store or Google Play must be submitted through the applicable platform.

We do not control platform refund decisions.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Violate any law or regulation
• Attempt unauthorized access to the Service
• Interfere with Service operation
• Upload malicious software
• Harass or abuse other users
• Impersonate another person
• Circumvent security features

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

11. Intellectual Property

The Service, including:

• Software
• Branding
• Logos
• Graphics
• Illustrations
• Designs
• Features

are owned by Chore Champ and protected by intellectual property laws.

Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service.

12. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that we may collect and process information as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Third-Party Services

The Service may rely on third-party providers including:

• Apple
• Google
• Supabase
• Analytics providers
• Payment processors

We are not responsible for third-party services or their policies.

14. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available and reliable.

However, we do not guarantee:

• Continuous availability
• Error-free operation
• Uninterrupted access
• Compatibility with all devices

The Service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

15. Account Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Engage in abuse or fraud
• Create security risks
• Violate applicable laws

Upon termination, access to the Service may be revoked.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHORE CHAMP DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

17. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHORE CHAMP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO CHORE CHAMP DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

When changes are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date.

Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

20. Apple App Store Additional Terms

If you access Chore Champ through Apple's App Store:

• Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services.

• Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

21. Google Play Additional Terms

If you access Chore Champ through Google Play:

• Your use of the Service must comply with Google Play policies.
• Google is not responsible for support, maintenance, or operation of the Service.
• Purchases made through Google Play are subject to Google's billing policies.
